Intercontinental Thalasso
Resort: site inspection cancelled due to traffic jam. That might seem weak
but it is true. The roads on Bora Bora need annual maintenance and the
combination of deep ruts and roadwork made for slow progress. I missed my
appointment with the latest addition to the resort scene. But you could not go
wrong with this property. They are doing amazing things with technology to
produce and eco-friendly resort.

LeMeridien: A
remarkable property with grace, courtesy, and an enthusiastic welcome that
embraces guests upon arrival in a true Polynesian greeting. The welcome mat is
out for families and honeymooners alike. An energetic staff is available to
remind you that you are indeed in Paradise should that fact slip your mind for
even a moment. The rooms have the largest glass floor in Polynesia and the world
for now! There is DVD player in each room and the front desk has a large supply
should you need them. The overwater bungalow layout is the same in all
categories. The Standard lookout to the mountains and the Premier category looks
out to the sea. Beach Bungalows on the white sand beach are mere steps from the
waters edge. A noteworthy endeavor of the property is the Turtle Program to
ensure the successful future of the turtles in the ocean. The younger set can
swim in the interior lagoon and closely observe turtles in action. This program
is unique and highly acclaimed world wide. For more information,

St. Regis: Starwood Resorts bring the St. Regis Brand of luxury to Bora Bora. It may seem like a Beach and St. Regis are “oxymorons” but the elegant touches of the St. Regis chain in Europe and Asia are readily apparent—from the lamps, furniture, towels, bedding, etc. New York Chef Jean George brings his brand of Asian fusion cuisine to Bora Bora in the Lagoon restaurant. Premier overwater bungalows offer Jacuzzis to supplement the soothing South Pacific seas. This top flight brand also recognized that not everyone can unplug and disconnect from the work day world and offers WiFi access in each room and in the business center as well. Butlers are available for all room categories and will do whatever is needed and frequently function as a personal assistant. Call today. Sofitel Mara Mara: is fresh from a top to bottom redo. The look is that of a hip, NYC or South Beach hotel set on a lovely tropical island. The bar is a mosaic mix of small red-hued tiles and bar stools sport bright red leather cushions. A negative edge pool reaches to embrace the sea beyond. Although not a premium property, this resort offers a strong value for those wanting A/C overwater bungalow on a prized island. There is even a bungalow for the mobility impaired. Service is pleasant and earnest. Click here for more information.

Top Dive Bora Bora Dive Resort: This
unique in town property serves the dive market with 9 air conditioned Tahitian
styled bungalows. The more reasonable prices for the overwater bungalows might
tempt nondivers as well. Prices can include dives and meals if you are so
inclined. Top Dive is one of the major dive operations in French Polynesia,
providing quality dive experiences on Bora Bora and beyond. The restaurant is
widely acclaimed and a few resort managers whispered that it had the best food
on the island. For more information on Top Dive,
